Artist's Comments

Photograph(s) captured in RAW (.CR2). Processed in Aperture 1.5.2. Monochrome applied in Aperture. Border + Text, Adobe Photoshop CS2. Photograph II was used with IR filter. Photograph III I used color selection in CS2 to isolate sidewalk; again, Monochrome applied in Aperture. I used HDR (High Dynamic Range) for all photographs, and merged them in Photomatix for OS X. EV Interval (Exposure Bracketing) was 1 1/3.

Canon 17-40 L.
B+W Haze Filter.
Shutter Release Cable.
Manfrotto 728B Tripod.
Mirrior-Lockup.
Level.
F/22.
ISO100.
Shutter Speed had approximate range of 1/80 to "5.

Location: GasWorks Industrial Complex, Seattle Washington.
Temperature: 43 degrees and overcast (typical seattle weather) with light rain.

This structure / complex is adjacent to Union Bay (Salt Water). Such close proximity has uniquely eroded the structure giving it an abrasive texture. Popular site for graffiti.
